According to a report, 'The O.C.' and 'Hart of Dixie' star Rachel Bilson has joined the cast of the show Nashville as a series regular. The actress confirmed the news on Instagram this week with a post and a caption saying, "Music city, here I come #nashvillecmt." Bilson's casting, along with 'Empire' actress Kaitlin Doubleday, comes in the wake of series star Connie Britton's sudden exit from the series. In a statement, Marshall Herskovitz, Nashville's executive producer and showrunner, said, "We welcome Rachel and Kaitlin into our incredibly talented ensemble. We fondly anticipate the second half of the season filled with surprising twists and turns that make Nashville so beloved by the fans."
