Actress Lena Dunham wrote an essay for International Women's Day, originally posted on LinkedIn, urging readers to fight for immigrants. In the essay, Dunham related the story of an undocumented woman she knows. 'Someone I love is undocumented. She is a personal hero of mine: She has cared for the dying, for the just-born, for people who can?t care for themselves,' wrote Dunham. Dunham also wrote about her great-grandmother, who immigrated to America from Russia in 1900.
