Madame Tussauds locations in both New York and London unveiled new Kong: Skull Island attractions. The new figures feature a stunningly realistic wax replica of Tom Hiddleston's character Captain James Conrad, along with a Mother Long-Legs spider, a jungle of bamboo and vines, and an 18-foot animatronic head of King Kong. A team of 33 artists spent over 72 days building the 3,000 pound Kong head. Hiddleston commented on the figure of Kong's head, and said: "I hope when people come face-to-face with Kong himself, they get some sense of what it might be like." He added that he had to imagine the massive being for the movie.
