Joe Alwyn and Emma Stone will be seen together in Yorgos Lanthimo's The Favourite. The film is set during the reign of Queen Anne (Colman), the last monarch of the House of Stuarts, and centers on a love triangle and power struggle among the women of Queen Anne's court. Joe Alwyn was last seen in Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk while Emma Stone just won the 2017 Oscar for Best Actress for her role in La La Land. Yorgos Lanthimos previously directed The Lobster.
