Musician Avril Lavigne has signed a new record deal with record company BMG US. The two agreed to release her first album in four years. The album will be her sixth studio album. For Lavigne, writing and composing the new album has been like therapy. Lavigne recently split from her second husband, Nickelback singer Chad Croger. Lavigne has also had a very public battle with Lyme disease, which which can affect the skin, joints, heart, and nervous system.
