Andrew Garfield was nominated for a 2017 Academy Award for best actor for his work in Hacksaw Ridge. The actor attended the awards show with his father. In a previous interview last year, Garfield's dad admitted that his son has a bit of a "funny side." He told E! News that Andrew is a "complete ham" and shared that his grandmother always thought he would go to clown college. On the red carpet for the Oscars, the nominee told E! News that he didn't plan an acceptance speech for the evening. Instead, he admitted that he would clap loudly for the winner, and enjoy some whiskey his dad was sneaking in.
