A statement on Sunday, made by his family, announced actor Bill Paxton has died after complications from surgery. Paxton appeared in dozens of films over some four decades, but rose to stardom with roles in Hollywood blockbusters such as "Aliens" and "Titanic?. Recently he starred in the HBO television series, "Big Love," about a polygamous Mormon family, and acted alongside Tom Cruise in the film, "Edge of Tomorrow." Paxton was 61 years old.
