?War of the Planet of the Apes? director Matt Reeves has signed on to direct and produce Warner Bros.? ?The Batman,? TheWrap has learned. The move follows reports that the studio?s talks with Reeves had broken down last week in the latest sign of trouble for the DC Comics property. I am incredibly honored and excited to be working with Warner Bros. to bring an epic and emotional new take on the Caped Crusader to the big screen,? said Reeves in a statement.
