Jay Z will become the first rapper ever inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The Songwriters Hall announced songwriting heavyweights in the industry, such as Kenneth ?Babyface? Edmonds, Max Martin and Berry Gordy will also be part of its 2017 class. Jay Z released his debut album ?Reasonable Doubt? in 1996. He has launched multiple hits in the last two decades, including ?Big Pimpin?? to ?Empire State of Mind.? The organization?s 48th Annual Induction and Awards Dinner will take place on June 15th in New York.
