On Wednesday, The Songwriters Hall announced its Hall of Fame class for 2017, which includes Jay Z who will be the first rapper ever inducted. Guitarist Nile Rodgers, who announced the inductees on CBS, said of the 21-time Grammy Winner, "He has changed the way that we listen to music. He's changed the way that we have fun." Other 2017 inductees include: Motown founder Berry Gordy, Peter Cetera of Chicago; and Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. The induction ceremony is set to take place on Thursday, June 15 in New York City.
