Karlie Kloss, a white model, apologized for appearing in a spread for Vogue's diversity issue in which she's styled as a geisha. Kloss called her error "culturally insensitive." For the fashion shoot, Kloss was styled in a black wig wearing a kimono. In the introduction to the fashion spread Vogue writes that the images are "paying homage to geisha culture." In her tweet, posted on Wednesday, Kloss went on to say, "My goal is, and always will be, to empower and inspire women.
