At a red carpet event for her new HBO show Big Little Lies, actress Shailene Woodley revealed that she will not participate in the upcoming TV finale for the Divergent series. Woodley was originally supposed to star in four movies based on the young adult book series. The fourth film, Ascendant, was scheduled for release this year, but due to low box office numbers for Allegiant, plans shifted and the finale went to the small screen instead. Co-star Miles Teller has also indicated that he won't be appearing in the TV movie.
