According to a report, Sony is in talks to acquire the worldwide rights for the upcoming Tom Hanks WW2 drama, Greyhound. The script for the movie, which was written by the Oscar-winner himself, is based on the C.S. Forester novel The Good Shepherd. The plot of film centers on the commanding officer of the Navy destroyer Greyhound during World War II. 'Get Low's' Aaron Schneider is attached to direct the movie while Hanks and his Playtone partner Gary Goetzman will produce.
