Laura Dern?s latest film is ?The Founder.? In the film she plays Ethel Kroc, who is the wife of Ray Kroc. Ray Kroc is the man who turned McDonald?s into the huge fast food corporation that it is today. The film was directed by John Lee Hancock. In an interview, Dern discussed what compelled her to perform in the film. She stated, ?John Lee Hancock and I did the film, A Perfect World, which he wrote in the early 90s. It was his first screenplay. I love him then. I love his writing. And we always talked about working together one day. So to work with him now as a filmmaker was exciting.?
