On Sunday Prince and George Michael will be honored at the Grammy Awards with separate tributes. Organizers did not say which musicians will perform them.
Both artists died suddenly in 2016.
Recording Academy President Neil Portnow said "the Recording Academy is humbled to pay homage to their tremendous legacies on the Grammy stage."
Both Prince and Michael are multiploe Grammy winners.
