It?s now been confirmed that director Denis Villeneuve will helm the new Dune movie. Brian Herbert, son of original Dune novel writer Frank, has tweeted out the news. The Academy Award nominated director has a masterful filmography right now, directing recent hits such as Arrival, Sicario and Prisoners. Villeneuve said he wanted to direct an adaptation of the sci-fi novel, but never expected to be in a position to do it.
