Director Danny Boyle is attempting to make amends with his old pal actor Ewan McGregor. According to website UpRoxx the duo's long standing working relationship ruined for nearly 20 years. Apparently, McGregor was originally set to play main character in the 2000 film 'The Beach' but the role eventually went to DiCaprio who had become a huge star thanks to the success of Titanic. While the duo were appearing together ont he 'Graham Norton' show promoting their upcoming film, 'T2 Trainspotting' Boyle offered McGregor an apology saying, ?I handled it very badly and I?ve apologized to Ewan. I feel a great shame about it that is difficult to explain." McGregor has no hard feelings chiming in syaing, "It was a misunderstanding and a mishandling of a situation. It?s a big regret of mine that it went on for so long and a real shame we didn?t work together all those years."
