It looks like a new book/movie to stage musical adaptation is in the works. None other than Elton John is working on a "Devil Wears Prada" Broadway musical adaptation. Deadline reported that John is co-writing the musical with playwright/essayist Paul Rudnick. Originally a best-selling book, the story was adapted into a hit movie starring Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep. John recently commented on the exciting project, and said: ?Re-imagining The Devil Wears Prada for the musical theatre is super exciting." He added: ?I?m a huge fan of both the book and the feature film and a huge aficionado of the fashion world. I can?t wait to sink my musical teeth into this hunk of popular culture.?
