VIDEO : Jay Z Tells Sundance Audience 'We Are the Power'

The first two episodes of "TIME: The Kalief Browder Story" recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and producer Jay Z made a short speech afterwards, reminding the audience that "we are the people that's in power." The Spike TV docuseries tells the story of Kalief Browder, a 16-year-old Bronx teenager who was wrongfully imprisoned for three years at Riker?s Island for allegedly stealing a backpack, despite zero evidence. He spent over 800 days in solitary confinement, and soon after his case was dismissed and he was released, he took his own life. Rapper and activist Jay Z, one of the executive producers on the series, told the audience, ?We have to tell these stories, and we have to organize in a way that we never have before, because that?s the only thing that affects change."
