The latest on the 89th annual Oscar nominations announced Tuesday by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences from Beverly Hills, California (all times local): 8:20 a.m. Michael Shannon says his manager is the one who did the screaming Tuesday after learning the actor was nominated for an Oscar. Shannon was nominated for best supporting actor for his role in "Nocturnal Animals" and is currently in Newcastle, England, working on his next film.
