The 62-year-old filmmaker created the franchise with Gale Anne Hurd and was at the helm for the 1984 movie and sequel 'Terminator 2: Judgement Day', but not involved in 2003's 'Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines', 2009's 'Terminator Salvation' or 2015's 'Terminator Genisys', all of which did not do as well as the first installments. However, the rights to the saga revert to him in 2019, but before that happens, 'Deadpool' director Tim Miller is said to be in talks with Cameron about advising on another film.
