Universal?s ?Split? took in 14.6 million dollars at the Friday box office. Early numbers show the M. Night Shyamalan film is overperforming, and could bring in a weekend gross of 34 million dollars. "Split? stars James McAvoy as a kidnapper with multiple personalities. The film is being critically acclaimed by critics, and has a score of 76 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. The thriller beat out the new triple "X" movie, which earned an estimated seven million dollars on Friday. The Vin Diesel flick is now estimated to finish the weekend around 19 million dollars.
