In a new photo spread for SELF.com, actress Ariel Winter opened up about body confidence. In the photo spread, Winter appears topless and unretouched. She told SELF that it was very difficult growing up in the spotlight, and mentioned her overnight experience with puberty while filming "Modern Family." She said: "When I started [Modern Family], I had a completely different body than what happened overnight at 12 years old... Everything was getting bigger. I automatically got this hate and judgment online." She mentioned her co-star, Sofia Vergara's encouraging words and stance on body positivity. Winter said: "[Sofia] could see that I was struggling a little bit with how to deal with my body, and was always trying to give me advice."
