Grey?s Anatomy star Jesse Williams has signed with CAA in all areas, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned. He had previously signed with UTA in September.
In addition to playing Dr. Jackson Avery on the hit ABC medical drama for the past eight seasons, Williams soon can be seen in the Sundance competition film Band Aid, starring Zoe Lister-Jones and Adam Pally. He also will be in LD Entertainment and Will Packer Productions? reimagining of the 1990 psychological thriller Jacob?s Ladder.
Williams also has become one of Hollywood?s most vocal civil rights advocates, with his acceptance speech for the BET Humanitarian Award last June earning widespread attention. He continues to be a prominent voice for social justice on social media, for which he developed, alongside his wife, Aryn Drake Lee-Williams, and artist Glenn Kaino, the Ebroji app, a keyboard that delivers a GIF (curated from black culture) for every occasion.
The actor/producer also hosts the sports and culture podcast Open Run through LeBron James? digital network, Uninterrupted, and serves as a board member, brand ambassador and partner in the college scholarship search app Scholly.
