While reading from the teleprompter at the Golden Globes on Sunday night, Michael Keaton accidentally conflated the tiles of "Hidden Figures" and "Fences." Both films have predominantly black casts. On Wednesday, Keaton told the Associated Press that "anyone who reads something discriminatory into his Golden Globes garble "extraordinarily incorrect."" Keaton said he made a mistake and that he is sorry. He said he felt especially bad for the flub because it "dinimished the title's recognition" when he was introducing nominee Octavia Spencer.
