According to Variety, the star of AMC's Into the Badlands, Daniel Wu, has joined the cast of the Tomb Raider reboot. According to insiders, Wu will play a character named Lu Ren, a ship captain who partners with Alicia Vikander?s Lara Croft on a mission to find her father. The movie will be Wu?s second video game adaptation after his recent work in 2016's Warcraft, where he played the villainous orc. Tomb Raider is currently scheduled to be released into theatres on March 16, 2018.
