Legendary director Sir Ridley Scott knew actor Tom Hardy was going to be a big star from the moment they first met. Scott cast Hardy in his 2001 movie 'Black Hawk Down', knowing he had the potential he had to be a big screen leading man. Scott is proud he gave Hardy his first role, saying "I always registered the person who, while having a relatively small part, knew exactly what to do - he always made the right decisions, the right choices."
