Actress Alexis Bledel of "Gilmore Girls," and "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" is joining the all star cast of Hulu?s "The Handmaid?s Tale," based on the dystopian sci-fi novel by Margaret Atwood. Set in near-future New England, where a totalitarian theocracy has overthrown the US government, the story explores themes of women in subjugation and the various means by which they gain agency. Bledel joins an ensemble cast led by Elisabeth Moss in her first U.S.
