Alexis Bledel, who plays Rory in the television show ?Gilmore Girls? and it?s reboot, has been cast in hulu?s new series ?The Handmaid?s Tale.? ?The Handmaid?s Tale? is based off of a Margaret Atwood novel that was released in 1985. It is a bleak story that depicts a world where women are considered property owned by men. Bledel is being joined by her other cast members Samira Wiley, Joseph Fiennes, and Elisabeth Moss. The series will last for 10 episodes. Bledel will be playing the character Ofglen, the supporting role of the lead character Offred.
