Carl Reiner says there are two or three movies he watches to relax, and Singing in the Rain is one of them. In fact, he was watching that film two days before Debbie Reynolds passed away. Reiner worked with Debbie in 1959 on a film called The Gazebo and he still remembers that they had "such lovely conversations" on set. In 1990, Reiner worked with Carrie Fisher on Sibling Rivalry and remembers that she was nothing like her mother. Where Debbie was outgoing, Carrie was pensive.
