At the 2017 Palm Springs International Film Festival, Hollywood darling Nicole Kidman appeared to promote 'Lion', a new film in which she stars opposite Dev Patel. For her role in the film, Kidman has already been nominated for a Golden Globe, an awards ceremony often seen as a harbinger for the coveted Academy Awards.
But the acting opportunity Kidman was really excited for wasn't one of her own.
"My daughter just got cast in her school play!" exclaimed Kidman.
