VIDEO : Mariah Carey Gives First Interview After 'Horrible New Year's Eve'

Celebrity in this news:

Turns out Mariah Carey was as humiliated by her New Year's Eve performance as you might think, and in typical diva fashion she's pointing the finger away from herself.
Carey gave her first interview since the disastrous mishap to Entertainment Weekly, saying she was "mortified" in "real time."
Carey's publicist was quick to point the blame at Dick Clark Productions for the technical errors, saying a faulty earpiece was the culprit.
Jenny McCarthy, a co-host for the event, told listeners on her SiriusXM show that Carey did not, herself, do a sound check. Instead, she says Carey was rehearsing her dances and movements while a stand-in performed the sound check. McCarthy also called out Carey for pointing the finger at Dick Clark Productions, calling the move "incredibly insulting."
During her performance, Carey's voice did not enter the whistle register, or even register as singing as she strutted about the stage criticizing the backing track while struggling to find her lyrical entrance. However, the Butterfly singer also told EW that her "horrible New Year's Eve" won't stop her from televised performances in the future.
