In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, actor Michael Keaton discussed a number of key points in his acting career. Naturally, the Birdman star's work as the Caped Crusader came up and why he bailed on the Batman franchise after just two movies. In the interview, Keaton explained that it was the script for the first post-Tim Burton Batman film that had him heading for the exit, saying, "I knew it was in trouble when Joel Schumacher said, ?Why does everything have to be so dark?'? The studio which ended up naming the movie 'Batman Forever' eventually replaced Keaton with actor Val Kilmer.
