Dick Clark Productions has responded to allegations by Mariah Carey that her live performance during the New Year's Rockin' Eve special was sabotaged.
Carey was visibly upset during her short performance which she failed to sing through, despite pre-recorded track of her songs playing in the background.
According to her representative Nicole Perna, technical difficulties with her earpiece ruined the show.
Perna added that instead of fixing the issue, Dick Clark Productions chose to go live.
But in a statement released by the production company, the allegations are absurd.
The statement indicated a initial investigation did not fault the production team for the problem.
