A representative for singer Mariah Carey says her NYE debacle performance can be blamed on technical difficulties. Spokeswoman Nicole Perna issued a statement amid the rebuke and criticism being hurled at the Diva. Perna said: ?Unfortunately there was nothing she could do to continue with the performance given the circumstances." During the performance Carey moved the mic away from her mouth as she paced the stage revealing a track was playing, and that she had been lip-syncing.
