Ben Affleck had previously stated that his The Batman movie would begin shooting in 2017 with a release of 2018 as a target but has now not only taken a softened stance on that, but said that if things do not start to move in a direction that he is comfortable with that he will halt everything. "It?s not a set thing and there?s no script," he said. Affleck has reiterated that he doesn't believe in rushing a film along to meet a window or a date, but his stance that he would walk away from the idea altogether is new.
