Director ridley scott has created some of the most innovative science fiction movies in History. His break out hits Alien and Blade Runner are still beloved by fans today. Yet according Screen rant, Scott has refused to direct any superhero films, the current juggernauts of the sci-fi genre. in an interview with digital spy, scott explained that he'd been approached multiple times but turned down the roles. "I can't believe in the thin, gossamer tight-rope of the non-reality of the situation of the superhero." says scott, noting that he'd prefer to make quote "smart movies" instead.
