A man named Demetrios Hrysikos from Spartanburg, South Carolina started a Kickstarter on behalf of Betty White, so she will not be another celebrity that passes away in 2016. His Kickstarter page was titled, ?Help protect Betty White from 2016.? On the page he wrote, ?Help 2016 catch these hands if it goes anywhere near Betty White! If she? okay with it I will fly to wherever Betty White is and keep her safe till Jan 1, 2017.? Hrysikos plan is to use the money fundraised for a local theatre in his community. He stated, ?We need new artist to carry the mantel of all the great ones we lost this year so keep sharing and donating to ensure a better 2-17 for the arts.? He surpassed his goal of $2,000.
