Actress Carrie Fisher is gone. Fisher played Princess Leia in the Star Wars series. The series made her a cultural, social, and sexual icon in the nineteen seventies. In addition to being an actress she was also an author. Fisher was open about her struggles with addiction and issues with Hollywood. She was well known for her grit, wit, and self deprecating sense of humor. She suffered a massive heart attack on a transatlantic flight from London to Los Angeles on Friday, December 23rd. She has been surrounded by family and well wishers ever since. Carrie Fisher was born Hollywood royalty, the daughter of actress Debbie Reynolds and singer Eddie Fisher.
