Carrie Fisher, the galaxy's princess, has died at age 60. Fisher became an instant cultural, social, and sexual icon when she played Princess Leia in George Lucas' space western "Star Wars: Episode IV -- A New Hope" in 1977. The film launched Fisher's career and made her beloved to millions of people world wide for close to forty years.
