James Corden's Carpool Karaoke has become a viral hit, but it looks like Corden's inspiration for the segment came from a sketch Corden performed with George Michael in 2011 on Comic Relief. In the sketch Corden is playing his 'Gavin and Stacey' character, Smithy, while George Michael is playing himself. Smithy is driving Michael around as they sing along to his Wham! hit "I'm Your Man." Michael was found dead in his England home on Christmas Day. Corden paid tribute to the lengendary pop singer on his Twitter following the tragic news.
