According to CNN, entertainment journalist Holland Reid says that George Michael evolved from pop stardom with his Wham! duo with Andrew Ridgeway, then moved into club music and eventually morphed into a Blue-eyed Soul singer. He was loved in the U.S. as much as in Britain, and as a singer and a gay rights advocate, entered the hearts of fans around the world. It was announced Christmas day that Michael passed away at his home at age fifty-three.
