Jessica Chastain recently appeared on Inside the Actors Studio. The actress opened up about her shyness and how that affects her profession. On the show, she agreed that she is really shy and said: "Yeah, I'm almost having a breakdown right now." She added: "Acting for me has never been about wanting attention or wanting to be seen.... There's so much I want to express, it's about connecting with another person and the intimacy of what that is, and so I have to overcome my shyness." Chastain also shared that she didn't do well in highschool, but was always off reading Shakespeare instead of focusing on her studies.
