On Friday morning, The Monument Laundromat in the Boston's Charlestown burned in a blaze. This laundromat was featured in the 2010 Ben Affleck movie The Town. In a scene set in the laundromat, Affleck introduces himself to his love interest. No injuries were reported and the cause was still being investigated. Several people were displaced from apartments in the two floors above the laundromat. The Boston Fire Department said outdoor temperatures in the single digits made a tough job for firefighters as it had caused some hydrants to freeze, and for thick ice to build up on firefighters' jackets, ladders and trucks.
