According to Variety, actor Ben Mendelsohn, who will portray Imperial Director Orson Krennic in the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, will now play the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood: Origins. Mendelsohn joins a cast that includes Kingsman: The Secret Service's Taron Egerton who will portray the eponymous folk hero. In addition to Robin Hood and Rogue One, Mendelsohn has also appeared in the Netflix drama series Bloodline, as well as the films, Animal Kingdom, The Dark Knight Rises and The Place Beyond the Pines. Robin Hood: Origins is currently scheduled to open in U.S. theaters on March 23rd, 2018.
