VIDEO : Zack Snyder Confirms ?The Last Photograph? As His Next Project

Celebrity in this news:

Zack Snyder has identified his next project after ?Justice League?: the Afghanistan war drama ?The Last Photograph,? TheWrap has learned.
Snyder came up with the idea in the mid-2000s after directing ?300,? and his co-writer on that movie, Kurt Johnstad, handled the script. The film had Christian Bale and Sean Penn attached to star in 2011, but there are currently no actors tied to the project.
Rights have long lapsed, but Gianni Nunnari?s Hollywood Gang is negotiating a new deal.
The film follows a war correspondent, who is the sole survivor of an an attack, as he teams up with a former special ops soldier in Afghanistan to help rescue a kidnapped family member of the soldier ? and possibly, give the journalist the story of his life.
Snyder wrapped the Warner Bros. DC Comics film ?Justice League? in October, which is set to come out on Nov. 17, 2017. He still plans to direct ?Justice League 2,? but that film has been delayed to make room for a standalone ?Batman? film starring and directed by Ben Affleck. With that opening in his schedule, Snyder has time to take on his long-gestating passion project.
Snyder and his wife/producing partner Deborah Snyder plan to bring the film to Warner Bros., where the duo has a first-look deal for their Cruel and Unusual Films.
