On Friday, actor Kirk Douglas turned 100 years old and in an essay who?s to credit for his longevity and how he plans to spend his birthday. In his piece Douglas wrote, "I was lucky enough to find my soulmate 63 years ago, and I believe our wonderful marriage and our nightly ?golden hour? chats have helped me survive all things." He then added, "I am always asked for advice on living a long and healthy life. I don?t have any. I do believe, however, that we have a purpose for being here." Douglas will reportedly celebrate the big milestone with a party hosted by his son, actor Michael Douglas and daughter-in-law Catherine Zeta-Jones.
