Actor Andy Serkis has a name the majority of the movie going community is familiar with however his face is one of less recognition. Serkis' earliest notable role was the character of "Gollum" in the Lord of the Rings franchise. Now, he is hitting the big screen again in the next installment of The Planet of the Apes series, The War on the Planet of the Apes. When asked if he believes if the Academy should differentiate awards between Motion Capture films and it's counterpart Serkis replied, "Absolutely not...The point of the matter is that we are actors playing roles."
