Liam Neeson, Sigourney Weaver, Lewis MacDougall and director J.A. Bayona attended the New York premiere of 'A Monster Calls' Wednesday.
It's about a boy whose mother is terminally ill. He copes by escaping into a fantastical world. Bayona said, "Sometimes, we're more scared to tell the truth than of the truth itself."
Weaver said, "Kids always need a secret friend, and I think you need it as much when you get older." 'A Monster Calls' hits theaters December 23rd.
