VIDEO : Ruth Negga Talks 'Loving' And Diversity In New Vogue Cover

"Nothing slow and steady about me," says Ruth Negga, who rose to stardom overnight after appearing in historical drama 'Loving'. Negga appears on the cover of Vogue's January 2017 issue to talk about the film, and the issue of diversity in Hollywood.
She told the magazine, "The film is reminding us that there's a conversation that we need to be having still."
'Loving' tells the true story of Mildred and Richard Loving who, in a famous 1967 Supreme Court case, defended their right to be married in spite of a law in their home state of Virginia called the Racial Integrity Act, which made it illegal for people of different skin tones to wed.
The film has been called quiet and low-key, but Negga doesn't think so. "It does annoy [co-star] Joel [Edgerton] and me when people say it's a quiet film," she laments. "Because it doesn't feel very quiet to us. It feels really loud."
